Macau Galaxy Entertainment International Marathon 2011

Macau International Marathon has developed every year and each year attracts hundreds of local, cities nearby and top long-distance runners from around the world to participate.  The presence of these international well-known long-distance runners adds luster to the Macau sport enterprise

When: 4th December 2011 (Sunday)
Aim: To develop local sports, by raising the level of running, to strengthen the friendship between people from different parts of the world, contribute to the promotion of sport tourism in Macau

Registration Fee
HK$300/US$40 - Marathon & Half-Marathon (early bird offer Until Oct 31)
HK$600/US$80 - Marathon & Half-Marathon (normal registration fee Until Nov 25)
HK$700             - Marathon & Half-Marathon (late registration fee Until Dec 3)
HK$50/US$7     - 6km dubbed as Mini-Marathon (normal registration fee until Nov 25)
HK$100             - 6km dubbed as Mini-Marathon (late registration fee Until Dec 3)

Full Marathon - 5 hours
Half Marathon - 2 hours 30 minutes
6km Fun Run - 1 hour 15 minutes

Number bibs, Timing System & Method
- Each athlete of Marathon, Half Marathon and Mini Marathon will be provided a number bib and a timing chip (in case the athlete does not have his own chip)
- The number bib and chip have to be worn properly during the competition
- Each participant will receive one number bib that must be put on the chest. In case the number bib or the timing chip is missing or wearing in the wrong place, the Organizing Committee reserves the right to disqualify the runner’s result
- ChampionChip is the timing system used for the race, it provides Personal Times (Chip Time/Net Time) and Official Time (Gun Time) for each athlete. Results will be based on the Official Time in accordance with IAAF Standards
- On any condition, number bib and timing chip cannot be exchanged with or transferred to other athletes; or else, the athletes will be disqualified and no certificate will be provided
- Athletes can choose to use their own chips or the chip provided by the Organizer
