One Thousand Runners for One Heart: A Run for Sofia Ysabel

Sofia Ysabel Rosal was born with Down’s Syndrome and Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS), a congenital heart disease. She underwent dialysis to address kidney failure apart from the other tests and procedures that have been regularly administered to keep her condition stable

But through all these, Sofia fought hard despite her many afflictions. She put up a good fight u.til |he end. For this, she continues to be an inspiration and a shining example of how we should face a life filled with seemingly insurmountable adversities

To celebrate Sofia's short but inspiring life, friends and family is putting together a fund raising activity. “One Thousand Runners for One Heart: A Run for Sofia Ysabel”, is a 3k and 5k fun run happening on August 27, 2011 (6:00am) at the Piazza at Venice , McKinley Hill, Taguig City

Registration Fee
PHP500 - 3km/5km (with the fees turned over to Sofia's family)
Part of the proceeds will also be given to a chosen charity benefiting patients with congenital heart disease
Note: Registered runners will only be given a race bib, no singlet as well as timing chip.  Race bibs will be distributed by August 20
