Dont Run. Bolt With FAAS 200 & 250

PUMA Time celebrated the Olympic Season with the introduction of the new FAAS running watch collection. “Faas” (“fast” in Jamaican) makes reference to the PUMA apparel and footwear line and the long lasting relationship the Brand has with the Track & Field Jamaican Federation

Keep track of your fastest times with the lightweight Faas 200/250 performance watch. It has a 10 lap memory as well as countdown timer. Not to mention that it's ultra slim, and engineered for comfort and breathability with its perforated strap. Press start and start bolting

PUMA Time new Faas watches bring the joy back into running thanks to their striking color range, increased lightness and breathability of the bracelet along with some ‘check-me-out’ designs. PUMA’s “Faas” Spring/Summer 2012 Chronograph Collection features modern silhouettes with excellent lap and split time measurement and memory capabilities

The Faas 200 presents a contemporary round face for men, and the Faas 250, a sleek ovoid face for women. Both Faas ranges come in an extraordinary array of “color blocked” palettes, ranging from minimalist taupes and greys to on trend lemon yellows, optic bright whites and saturated blues and violets

Large displays allow for easy reading at practice or play. The super slim silhouettes, at just 9.6 mm, virtually mimic the actual Olympic and World record in the 100 meters. Specialized features include chronograph with 10 lap memory, timer with count-down stop, repeat and up functions, hourly chime signal, dual daily alarms, auto-calendar and EL backlight

Available at the PUMA Time kiosk in SM Megamall, Timegear, and L Timestudio boutiques. SRP PHP2,850

Negrense Hulleza dominated the 21-k men’s division race in 1:15:56 to pocket the P 10,000 top prize. The West Negros University Criminology undergraduate finished ahead of runners Bennie Murillo and Jorge Sepida, who finished in 1:16:38 and 1:22:24, respectively

Completing the top 3 cast in the distaff side are Ganzon, who triumphantly crossed the finish line in first place at 1:44:59, Mellina Jane Jaroda at 1:52:34 and Mary Antonette Nuñez at 1:57:45

For the school category awards, a double win went to Iloilo City National High School, which garnered both the Biggest Delegation and Fastest Delegation honors with 466 participants and an aggregate time of 22:32:68

After the Iloilo leg, the qualifying race will shift to General Santos on November 4, Davao City on November 11, Butuan City on November 18 and Cagayan de Oro City on November 25. The 36th MILO Marathon National Finals will be on December 9 at the SM Mall of Asia Grounds in Pasay City

MILO continues to build a brighter future for the Filipino youth through its advocacy program, ‘Help Give Shoes’, which has reached 20, 700 underprivileged school children nationwide. Five schools in Iloilo City, namely Jalandoni Memorial National High School, Jaro Elementary School, Rizal Elementary School, Iloilo National High School and Pavia National High School, are among the campaign’s beneficiaries

Saucony Kinvara 3

Saucony (Sock A Knee) unveils the all-new Kinvara 3, the industry’s most highly anticipated shoe of the season and the third update to the brand’s award-winning natural motion running shoe. Saucony continues to inspire runners to find their personal “strong” through running with the much-anticipated arrival of Kinvara 3. The all-new Kinvara 3 is the third edition of the iconic Kinvara, a minimalist shoe that is renowned for being lightweight and highly responsive

“Of all the shoes released by Saucony, runners and retailers are especially excited by the new Kinvara 3,” said Chris Lindner, chief marketing officer for Saucony. “The Kinvara was among the first natural motion running shoes available in the marketplace and positioned Saucony as an industry leader in the category. The Kinvara 3, an even better technical running shoe than its predecessors, delivers more than a great shoe: It inspires an incredible running experience. People just can’t wait to get it on and go”

The next-generation Kinvara, weighing only 7.7 ounces (based on a men’s size 9), is a performance training shoe with a 4mm heel-to-toe offset that positions the runner’s foot during impact in a way that creates a greater range of motion than traditional running shoes (with a 12mm heel-to-toe offset) for the Gastrocnemius-Soleus-Achilles tendon system, allowing for a more powerful running stride

My Thoughts
Will I recommend it to a non-minimalist runner? Yup! The design philosophy makes sense. I believe it is a very good shoe. I'd even pick this over Skora and EVO II. This offering is for those who seeks some level of cushion. If you seek a lighter shoe there's Type A5 and Hattori

Will there be a shoe review? Yes! I will ask Meowth to help me on this one

Biggest Marathon Medal

Among the so many reasons why one should join Unilab's first marathon event is the finishers medal. I've already mentioned that it is going to be bigger than Condura and Milo. And I can't wait what Unilab is in store for us next year. Bigger medal? More fanfare? I am keeping my fingers crossed

Not running the half or full marathon? You still get to bring home an RUPM commemorative bag

adidas launches adiPure 360 training shoe

Press Release
Adidas has launched the new adiPure 360 training shoe: a multi-directional and multi-purpose training shoe. With both a men’s version, and a model especially for women, the adiPure 360 is designed to let your feet move as nature intended and help you get the most out of your workout by helping to help build natural strength, agility and balance - and it’s designed to make muscles work harder during exercise

While most other sports have footwear designed specifically for the sport itself, the adiPure 360 is designed primarily for the gym. Using super light and flexible materials, it features the latest in technology to support multidirectional movement, and the anatomically designed shoe provides comfort and support throughout every stretch, every squat and every exercise during your workout

The design and overall flexibility of the adiPure 360 promotes unrestricted movement and harnesses the body’s mechanics. It aims to strengthen the muscles in the feet, toes, ankles and lower legs, while offering a natural feel that is one step from being barefoot- but with the increased foot protection needed during a workout

Adrian Carney, adidas’ Category Manager for Men’s Training Footwear comments on the innovation and objective behind the development of the adiPure 360: “The foot is a highly complex part of the body - in fact you could say that a lot of engineering went into its design and function! To get the most out of a workout, it’s important to focus on how your feet interact with the ground in almost the same way you think about how your hands interact with a ball or a bat during sports. Using your foot’s natural power and movement can help you strengthen muscles you never knew you had in your feet, lower legs and throughout your core.”
